Traver, Harry, in full HARRY GUY TRAVER (b. Nov. 25, 1877, Gardner, Ill., U.S.--d. Sept. 27, 1961, New Rochelle, N.Y.), American roller coaster designer, known for his daring, bone-rattling coasters of the 1920s.
Noted for his revolutionary development of the "trick-track" or "jazz-track": a specially designed track that, while appearing to continue as a straight piece of track, "wobbles" the rider from side to side.
